There is some intense fangirling going on when I think about this book. This is the final installment of TMI, and it comes out on May 27, 2014. IT CANNOT GET HERE FAST ENOUGH! I didn't realize that this final book wasn't out yet until the night I finished book five. Lesson learned: don't get trapped in a new series before seeing if all the books are out. {update! I have the e-book and I just started reading it!}
2. Bittersweet; by Sarah Ockler Love. Betayal. Family. Second Chances. Cupcakes for every occasion. What's not to be excited about? I'm ready to read this book.
3. Dorothy Must Die; by Danielle Paige I just can't help myself. I love new retellings of old stories. In this version of The Wizard of Oz, sweet little Dorothy has let her power in Oz go to her head. And well, now she must die.
4. A Tale of Two Cities; by Charles Dickens It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. A classic by the man known by my generation mainly for his A Christmas Carol. I will shamelessly admit that my desire to read this started by all the references made to it by Cassandra Clare, in The Infernal Devices series. I must know this Sydney Carton, and I can't wait to finally read: "It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to, than I have ever known."
5. Etiquette & Espionage; by Gail Carriger Truth be told, I judge books by their cover. I love how it looks in my library. The first sentences on the back landed it in my shopping cart. "It's one thing to learn to curtsy properly. It's quite another to learn to curtsy and throw a knife at the same time. Welcome to Finishing School." I sure hope it lives up to the hype. If nothing else, it still looks awesome next to the other books.
6. What Really Happened in Peru (The Bane Chronicles); by Cassandra Clare One simple reason. I have to know why Magnus Bane is banned from Peru. The Bane Chronicles are a collection of ten novellas telling the story of Magnus, a powerful warlock in both Casandra Clare's series.
7. Slaughterhouse-Five; by Kurt Vonnegut Truth be told, I really do want to read this book. It is on my list; it has always been on my list; and will always be on my list. ;)
